I began PoliticalCritic.com in
August 2004 out of growing frustration with the war in Iraq and the
current Bush administration. It has evolved into a daily
political blog that is critical of establishment and all things
government.
It covers current political races and tries to draw attention to
issues not generally covered by the national media.
Being highly critical of
George Bush in no way makes this a liberal blog or a fan of the
Clinton administration. Both of them are crooks and belong
locked up. If this blog was written in the 1990's, it would
have been sharply critical of Bill Clinton's conduct in office.
I am a registered
Independent. In the most recent election, I voted for Barack Obama for President.
On the downballot, I voted for the Libertarian candidate in the U.S.
Senate race in Massachusetts. This was very much a vote
against John Kerry. I abstained from voting in my
Congressional race as the incumbent Democrat ran unopposed. I
was hoping to vote for a conservative so that at least one would
represent my state. No such luck.
I am currently a Vice
President and Senior Portfolio Manager for a large investment firm
in the Northeast. I manage about $250 million in assets
for institutions, endowments, and high-net worth individual clients. I have
previously worked as a Portfolio Manager for Evergreen Investments,
a division of Wachovia Bank. Prior to that, I roamed around
the East coast for a number of banks and investment companies.
Content in this blog has
appeared in numerous sources, including The Pittsburgh Tribune
and Review in their Best of Blogs article. I have
also appeared on the Subject2Discussion radio program on
LVRocks.com. The radio show is podcasted each week.
