Georgia O'Keeffe 2009 Calendars
|
A great
artist and painter of the 20th century was Georgia O'Keeffe.
She was a small, thin woman who was born in Wisconsin late
in the 19th century. O'Keeffe started high school in
Madison, Wisconsin, but finished in Virginia. She then
enrolled at an Art college in Chicago. These 2009
Georgia O'Keeffe calendars showcase her paintings of
flowers, which became one of her best styles. She
eventually settled in New Mexico in the late 1920's and her
reputation took off from there. In the 1940's and
1950's, Georgia O'Keeffe became a household name and a
celebrity in New Mexico. These 2009 Georgia O'Keeffe
calendars are just a glimpse of the number of works that she
did. She lived in New Mexico until she passed away in 1986. |
