In the
1990's, many northen hockey teams in the NHL migrated
further south. Some went from Canada to the United
States, but some teams like the Dallas Stars simply moved
within the county. Until 1993, they were known as the
Minnesota North Stars. Luckily, in the 2009 Dallas
Stars calendar, you will learn about the team and its
origins. After moving to Texas, the Dallas Stars won
the championship in 1999. The captain of the team is
Mike Modano and the alternate captains are Brenden Morrow,
and Sergei Zubov. The Dallas Stars 2009 calendar above
right shows the logo with the star under the letter 'A'.
They won their division last season, but lost in the
conference quarterfinals. |
