As the
National Hockey League expanded in the late 1990's, the city
of Nashville, Tennessee was given a franchise that they
named the Predators. As most expansions teams go, they
struggled early on, not making the playoffs in their first
five years. The team is better now and in the 2009
Nashville Predators calendar, you can write down all the
games. The Predators have now been to the second
season two years in a row. Their roster includes Paul
Kariya, Steve Sullivan, and Kimmo Timonen.
Nearly all the Nashville Predators players are from either
Canada or the Czech Republic. The 2009 calendar
doesn't show it, but only three players are from somewhere
else. The NHL may have migrated to the South, but the
players are still from traditional hockey countries. |
