The
stars of the National Hockey League are displayed here in
this 16 month calendar. Going into 2009, some of the
top skaters in the league were Sidney Crosby, Joe Thornton, Dany Heatley,
Daniel Alfredsson, Jaromir Jagr, Joe Sakic, Alexander
Ovechkin, and Mats Sundin. The 2008 NHL Game On
calendar shows many of these skilled players. One of
the young, new stars of the NHL is Sidney Crosby, who was
drafted first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins. The
Most Valuable Player of the NHL is represented by the Hart
Memorial Trophy. For 2006, Joe Thornton won the award.
Thornton was traded away from the inept Boston Bruins to the
San Jose Sharks for very little. It was one of the
worst trades in Boston since Babe Ruth was sold to the
