Twelve monuments in America that symbolize the history of the country and of the struggle for freedom around the world. The opening photograph
of the 2009 National Monuments calendar shows the statue of U.S. soldiers raising the flag of the United States. In addition to that, there are pictures of the Washington Monument, The White House, Mount Rushmore, The U.S. Capitol, The Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial and The Jefferson Memorial. Many of these landmarks
within the 2009 National Monuments calendar are located in what is known as The Mall in Washington D.C. If you visit this area, you will find many of the aforementioned places, along with a Korean War Memorial.
