Popeye T-Shirts

You have to go as far back as 1929 to discover the beginnings of Popeye the Sailor. The animated comic strip featured the spinach-eating tough guy, Olive Oil as the girlfriend, and Bluto as the thug-like nemesis who is always trying to kidnap Olive Oil. One Popeye t-shirts focuses on the green spinach, while the rest of the shirt is in black and white. A television series was created off the comic strip and so was a movie in 1980. The character Bluto is seen in the other t-shirt as a Bad to the Bone! Video games and pinball games were also spun off the original Popeye comic strip. Nearly eighty years after its creation, the merchandise still sells.
